Flu and COVID-19 Seasonal Vaccination Programme: Autumn/Winter 2025/26
Posted on:
We may still be in the summer holiday season but we are already planning the flu and covid season.
There are a few key dates for the 2025 campaign:
- Pregnant women and all eligible children will start from 1st September 2025. For school aged cohorts, vaccination in schools should be completed by 12 December 2025 with further catch-up opportunities as appropriate.
- All other adult flu cohorts will start from 1 October 2025 and will run until the 31 March 2026.
To provide the best possible protection going into winter we are in the process of organising large attendance clinics and patient invite text messages will be sent out over the next week.
Eligible patients will soon be receiving a text to book an appointment or they will be contacted by phone. Please do not contact the practice until you receive a text message.
- Thursday 2 October – Wolsingham
- Friday 3 October – St John’s Chapel
- Saturday 4 October – Stanhope
We will have multiple staff at each location to try and vaccinate as many as possible and as quickly as possible.

The announced and authorised cohorts eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in AW 2025/26 are:
