If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to take a look at the website below and it will help tell you which vaccinations you require. Once you have done this you can then arrange an appointment with the nurse to have this. You may be charged for the vaccination depending on what it is you need. There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
Fit For Travel Website
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire

What you need to know about your GP online records
As a patient of the Weardale Practice you already have the facility to register for on-line access to book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions and see some of the information in your GP record including your medication and allergies. From 29 February you have the option to request access to your medical record online. You can also still use the telephone or call in to the surgery for any of these services as well. It’s your choice.
Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can even access your record from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday. If you decide not to join or wish to withdraw, this is your choice and practice staff will continue to treat you in the same way as before. This decision will not affect the quality of your care.
Before access can be provided you will need to provide photographic identification at the surgery and complete an assessment questionnaire. Your GP will then determine if access is appropriate. For more information or to request access to your medical record, please contact the surgery.
The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly
